STRIKER HIGH GTX

STRIKER HIGH GTX is built for situations where you need a high-cut boot that supports the ankle, handles long periods of movement and is ready for rain, wet grass and muddy terrain.

The upper combines hydrophobic nubuck with durable nylon textile. Nubuck adds strength in high-wear areas, while the textile helps keep the weight under control. The hydrophobic treatment slows down water absorption into the upper.

Waterproof protection comes from the GORE-TEX Carbon Grey membrane. Rain and water from wet terrain stay outside, while moisture generated inside the boot can gradually escape. During long wear, keeping water out is only part of the job – the boot also needs to manage heat and perspiration.

The F117 sole is built from several layers with different functions. Softer polyurethane layers cushion impacts, while a firmer frame around the lower part of the boot helps stabilise the foot, reduces wear on the upper when it comes into contact with obstacles and is designed to cope with the stresses of fast-rope descents. The tread is made from durable rubber with a pronounced pattern for reliable traction on both hard and unpaved surfaces.

Inside the sole is ZeroFear 2.0 – a puncture-resistant protective layer. If you step on a nail, shard or another sharp object, its job is to stop it before it reaches the foot.

The soft NUBE insole with activated carbon adds extra cushioning and helps reduce odour during prolonged wear.

The 19 cm height provides firmer ankle support and also protects the lower shin. This is especially useful in uneven terrain and during long periods of movement over irregular ground.
