STRIKER SUMMER MID NexX4

STRIKER SUMMER MID NexX4 is built for situations where you need durable professional footwear, but heat, sweat and long periods of movement are a bigger issue than rain.

The upper combines hydrophobic nubuck with nylon textile. Nubuck forms the strong protective part of the upper, while textile helps reduce weight and improve breathability. There is no waterproof membrane inside. Instead, the boot uses Coolmax – a lightweight textile lining designed to move moisture away from the foot and dry quickly. During duty, training or long movement in warm weather, moisture generated inside the boot can therefore escape more easily than through a membrane construction.

Underfoot is the F117 sole system. Softer polyurethane layers absorb part of the impact energy at each step, reducing how much shock reaches the heel and joints. A firmer polyurethane frame runs around the lower part of the upper. It protects the boot from abrasion against obstacles and helps keep the foot stable inside the boot; the construction is also designed to withstand the loads created during fast-rope use.

The bottom of the sole features NexX4™ – a specially developed lightweight material designed for direct contact with the ground. It combines high abrasion resistance, flexibility and grip while allowing the overall weight of the sole to be significantly reduced. Its deep, multidirectional tread provides reliable traction across different surfaces, while the material maintains consistent performance even at very low temperatures.

Inside the sole is Carbitex MonoFlex, a thin carbon-fibre reinforcement. Its distinctive feature is its unidirectional construction. In one direction it provides support and helps protect the foot from excessive bending on rocks, roots and uneven terrain, while in the other direction it remains highly flexible. The boot can therefore flex naturally during a step while giving the foot a more stable platform underneath.

The soft NUBE insole with activated carbon also performs exceptionally well, adding extra cushioning and helping to reduce odour during prolonged wear.

The 16 cm height provides ankle support without turning the boot into a traditional high-cut model. Two-zone lacing allows the tension to be adjusted separately over the foot and around the ankle.

STRIKER SUMMER MID NexX4 is intended mainly for summer duty, training, range use, work and movement in terrain. Its priorities are breathability, low weight, traction and stability – not prolonged waterproof protection.
